Description
The weeping angel rests its hand atop of an upside down torch symbolizing life extinguished. The years have streaked his bronze skin and caused tears of discolored metal to stream from his sad eyes. The Haserot Weeping Angel is located in the historic site of Lakeview Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio. The sculpture was created by Herman Matzen in 1923. Also known as the "Angel of Death Victorious", this statue sits upon the grave site of Francis Haserot and his family.
