Description
A solar eclipse is captured in full totality, where the moon completely covers the sun, except for the glowing corona visible around the edges. A few solar prominences can be seen as pinkish spots where the intense solar activity is visible beyond the moon's silhouette.

The Diamond ring is a single Baily’s Bead, shining like a brilliant diamond set into a pale ring created by the pearly white corona. It’s the signal that totality is about to start or has ended. In this case it is ending.
On April 8, 2024, the path of totality will sweep across parts of the United States, Canada, and Mexico. A total solar eclipse is an astronomical event that occurs when the Moon passes directly between the Sun and Earth, completely obscuring the Sun’s face. During this rare celestial event, the Moon casts its shadow, known as the umbra, onto Earth’s surface, creating a moment of darkness during the day.
