The Tall Ships Festival 2016 was held this year in Fairport Harbor Ohio. A total of 9 ships were present, including the Draken Harald Harfagre, the worlds largest Viking Ship. Named after Harald Harfagre, the king who unified Norway into one kingdom. The Draken set sail from Nowrway on the 26th of April 26, 2016 on a challenging expedition across the North Atlantic Ocean, the same route the Vikings travelled more than 1,000 years ago. Their Expedition America will explore and relive one of the most mythological sea voyages and participate in the Tall Ships Challenge Great Lakes 2016 Race.
